Over 50 supporters
collected a total of £1553 to support JD in his recent marathon run in
Barcelona, Spain. Completing his run in 3 hours 52 minutes, a tired JD said on the
telephone to his Dad, “It was absolutely
agony and my legs are like jelly. With no exception, this was the hardest run I
have ever had. I seemed to have reached a new threshold of pain. I have to
thank my mate Alex for staying with me. I was so conscious of my supporters,
especially all those children from Central Village, St Catherine, Jamaica who
gave between $J20-50 (14-35pence) from the very little they do have. Please ask
Uncle Tom to thank them all for me”.

was his first full marathon, and he praised his university mate, Alex Bamford, for staying with him. ALL monies from this event
will go directly to Alpha Boys’ School, and will be used to set up a free range
chicken farm they are seeking to establish for the boys. Don’t forget, you can
still donate to this great cause and school in
